RC Gluten-Free Vegan Demi-Glace Sauce Mix is a light brown powder combining vegetables, and other seasonings. It contains no animal products, no allergens, no gluten and no added monosodium glutamate* (MSG). When prepared with water, it yields a rich flavorful brown sauce. It is certified both Kosher Pareve by Star-K and Halal by IFANCA. Made in the USA.
Demi-Glace is a classic brown mother sauce. It may be served as is or used as a base for other brown sauces. Marsala, Madeira, and Chasseur are just a few sauces that can be prepared using Demi-Glace. Contact RC Fine Foods for recipe ideas or suggested uses.
To prepare, 1 jar (2 lbs.) of RC Demi-Glace Sauce Mix is added to 2 gallons of water and heated to a boil while whisking. The prepared sauce can be held on a steam table or refrigerated for later use. Smaller quantities may be prepared.
Packaged in BPA/Phthalate-free HDPE jars or pails. Each container has a lot code and “packed on” date.
