RC Seafood Bisque Mix is a dry powder that contains concentrated seafood flavors, dairy products and seasonings. When prepared with water it yields a creamy, flavorful base for seafood bisque. Seafood is then added to give the finished soup its characterizing name (i.e. Add lobster for Lobster Bisque). This dry product has a long shelf life and requires only minimal storage space. This product contains no added MSG, and is available with MSG as well. Made in the USA.
To prepare, add the product to water and bring to a simmer. A double boiler is recommended to reduce the stirring required. Once the base has simmered, add one quart (about 2 lbs.) of seafood such as oysters, clams, shrimp, crabmeat, lobster or fish and simmer until done. For richer bisque, milk or heavy cream may be substituted for some of the water.
Use this versatile product to create your own signature soup. Sherry and/or brandy may be added to further enhance the finished product.
