Béchamel Sauce

Serves: 6 quarts


  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 2 quarts cold milk
  • 4 quarts cold water
  • 1 jar Unseasoned Cream Sauce
  • pinch nutmeg


  1. 1 Mix the RC Unseasoned Cream Sauce with the cold water and milk.
  2. 2 Add the onion and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  3. 3 Strain and finish with nutmeg.
  4. 4 Cool properly and use as a base sauce for any of your white sauces.
