Mushroom Sauce Variation

Serves: approximately 1½ quarts


  • 1 quart prepared Instant Brown Gravy
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 4 oz. sliced mushrooms
  • ¼ cup chopped shallots
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley


  1. 1 Sauté the chopped shallots and sliced mushrooms.
  2. 2 Add white wine and reduce by two-thirds.
  3. 3 Add the prepared Instant Brown Gravy, tomato puree and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. 4 Finish with chopped parsley.
  5. 5 RC Low Sodium Instant Brown Gravy Mix (Brown, Chicken, and Turkey) are also available Low Sodium.
  6. 6 RC Gravy Mixes (Beef, Chicken, Turkey and Pork) are also available as cook-up products.
