Nantucket Lobster Bisque

Nantucket Lobster Bisque Serves: 2+ gallons


  • 1 lb. cooked, cubed lobster
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup sherry
  • 1 gallon milk
  • 1 gallon water
  • 1 bunch fresh dill, for garnish
  • 2 packages No Added MSG Seafood Bisque Mix
  • 2 Tbsp. RC No Added MSG Lobster Base
  • 1 tsp. RC Umami Sensations® Oyster Extract Powder
  • 1 tsp. RC Umami Sensations® Kokumi Powder


  1. 1 Prepare the RC Seafood Bisque with the water and milk per package instructions.
  2. 2 Add RC no added MSG Lobster Base, sherry and heavy cream and continue to simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  3. 3 Add cooked lobster and both RC Umami Sensations™ simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  4. 4 Serve bisque garnished with fresh dill.


If you would like a deeper red color just add tomato 1 Tbsp. paste at a time until you reach your desired color. For a richer “Lobster American” flavor omit fresh dill and substitute fresh tarragon.
